Where to Watch the UFC in Bangkok?
Well, if you're a UFC fan like me, there's good and bad about living in Bangkok or being there during one of the main UFC event.
Good news is, there's plenty of sports bars that show the main events and even more bars that open for the occasion when you got a big name like McGregor fighting.
Bad news is, you're gonna have to get out of bed early on a Sunday morning. Unless of course, you're just getting out of a dodgy after party den after a long Saturday night. In that case, just keep on drinking and you'll be fine.
But now, what are the best venues to watch the UFC events in Bangkok?
The Sportsman Bangkok
This is the biggest sports bar I know, perfectly located in Sukhumvit Soi 13, close to Suk 11 and Soi Cowboy so perfect for an after party.
The place is huge with 2 floors and enough space to easily fit hundreds of peeps. They got all sort of drinks, crafts beers, great selection of spirits, food... you'll get what you want.
Like for all other places, make a booking in advance if it's going to be a main event. There's nothing that sucks more than standing up for a few hours while you watch the fights.
The Old English Pub
I finally found a place close to my office in Thonglor that open early enough to watch the UFC.
It's surprisingly inexpensive for Thonglor area and even though I didn't try the food yet, from what I've seen it looks like the best option for brunch of this list.
Only thing, there's a really limited number of tables. Bookings recommended for any event.
The Clubhouse Sports bar and grill
It's only a hundred meter from Soi Cowboy so that make it the perfect spot for if you haven't slept yet.
Not as big as the Sportsman but they also got 2 floors and plenty of space, inside and outside.
Been there for the World Cup 2018, the place is ok but drinks are not the cheapest and food is average. But it's open for UFC events.
Hooters have 3 locations in Bangkok, Sukhumvit Soi Nana (Soi 4), Sukhumvit Soi 15 and now one in Silom close to Patpong.
Easy to say, if you're staying close to one red light district in Bangkok or if you're ending your night in one of them, there's a Hooters at walking distance.
Probably the most expensive option of the list but that's what it cost to enjoy the view between the rounds.
